"Of course.", Thomas replied to her. "I suggested them in part because of their capabilities. And as I said, having the resources and backing of RaiCorp wouldn't do any harm in reinforcing the AQUA Initiative.", he would begin. "And in truth, I see a lot of potential in those two. They seem to have the makings of Avatars, and I feel are two individuals to look out for, at the very least.", he'd conclude. Thomas would take a moment to look around. A feeling washed over him. "Commissioner, remember our last private meeting? How I was sent by Yveltal to assassinate you, only to warn you?", he'd ask her. A rhetorical question, obviously. "I never got to report back to you what came of it, and why I went missing for a week.", he'd begin with a sigh. This would be tough, but something he felt was absolutely necessary. "Me and two others all decided to rebel against Yveltal, and fought against it. As the battle unfolded, we discovered the same Neurotoxin that you had been infected with had corrupted Yveltal. Our battle helped to cleanse Yveltal of the neurotoxin, allowing the Emissary of Death to purge the poison out of its body, and the cause of it, a tiny Nihilego.", he'd reveal to her. "When Yveltal had killed the Nihilego, a new Wormhole brought out a giant Nihilego, that attempted to assimilate Yveltal, as one had done to you during the Night Market Incident. One of us managed to escape, while myself and another had chosen to sacrifice our lifeforce to Yveltal, in order to give it the strength it needed to fend off the Giant Nihilego.", he'd continue. "The two of us spent a week petrified, before awakening and breaking free from our shells. Yveltal had been successful in its fight, but greatly weakened by the struggle. It had sent us away, until after the War with the Megalopolans. The War had caused enough death to give Yveltal its strength back, to 'restore the balance.'", he'd continue, before pausing again. Feeling safe, Thomas finally began to undo his eye patch. Rather than the burnt out eye resulting from being burned out by a pistol's muzzle flash, his eye would instead be crimsen red, with a Y-shaped pupil. "Yveltal had chosen myself, and the other, despite our act of rebellion.", he'd finally reveal to her.
